The Food Promotion Fund Loan Project was established to alleviate the economic burden on food hygiene business operators affected by high prices and other challenges.

Loans are provided at an interest rate of 1% for operating funds or facility improvement funds for food hygiene businesses (model restaurants and hygiene grade designated businesses) within the limit of 20 million to 500 million KRW. However, entertainment and Danranju bars or businesses with administrative sanctions are excluded from support.

Business operators wishing to apply for a loan can consult with the NongHyup Bank Uijeongbu Branch and then apply to the city’s Hygiene Division. The city will decide on support after on-site inspections of the applicant businesses and bank loan reviews, and supported businesses will be monitored and managed afterward.

A city official said, “Since this project operates on a first-come, first-served basis until the fund is exhausted, we hope for the interest and participation of many eligible applicants,” adding, “We hope this will provide even a small help in resolving management difficulties.”
