Hwaseong City Launches Management Innovation in 10 Public Institutions

Final Report Meeting Held for Organizational Diagnosis Research Project
Three-Year Plan to Be Established and Reflected in Management Performance Evaluation

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province is set to intensify management innovation efforts across its 10 affiliated public institutions.


On the 22nd, Hwaseong City held the final report meeting for the organizational diagnosis research project aimed at establishing an efficient management system for public institutions at the city hall situation room.

Attended by about 20 people including Jeong Gu-won, the 1st Vice Mayor, Jo Seung-moon, the 2nd Vice Mayor, the Policy Planning Officer, department heads, and senior directors of public institutions, the meeting reviewed and presented rationalization plans regarding business, organization, personnel, finance, and wages through analysis of current management status, short- and mid-to-long-term organization plans, inter-institutional function adjustments, and the design of a roadmap for applying integrated guidelines for the 10 affiliated public institutions.


This project was conducted over seven months from June last year to this month, targeting 10 public institutions under the city, including Hwaseong Urban Corporation. A mid-term report meeting was also held in December last year.


The city plans to establish a three-year management innovation plan upon completion of the project and reflect the implementation results in the management performance evaluation.


Jeong Myeong-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong City, stated, "This is an important moment as the city has taken a step forward as a special city," adding, "Based on these achievements, we will lead innovation in public institutions toward transparent and efficient management."
