Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 22nd that it is recruiting participating companies for the ‘2025 Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Worker Dormitory Rental Support Project’ until February 17 as a new policy to support SMEs.
The ‘SME Worker Dormitory Rental Support Project’ is a program that supports a portion of the rental costs for SMEs that lease and operate dormitories. By improving the residential environment through support for workers’ housing facilities, the project aims to secure talented personnel, expand youth employment, create jobs, and support stable business management through long-term employment.
The support target is small and medium manufacturing enterprises located in Pocheon City. The project supports up to 80% of the monthly rental fee (up to 300,000 KRW per worker per month) to the business owner for dormitories leased under the business owner’s name, with support available for up to 10 months per year.
Application documents and other support conditions can be found in the Notices and Announcements section on the Pocheon City Hall website. For inquiries related to the project, please contact the Specialized Industry Team of the Corporate Support Division at Pocheon City Hall for detailed guidance.
A Pocheon City official stated, “We hope that stabilizing the housing of SME workers will contribute not only to promoting employment and alleviating manpower shortages in local SMEs but also to improving corporate productivity.”
