The key inspection points include the appropriateness of subcontract payment and the timely payment of workers' wages. In particular, monitoring will be strengthened to preemptively block payment delays that may occur before the Lunar New Year holiday, and swift action will be taken if any arrears are confirmed.
This inspection is expected to play an important role in establishing a healthy culture of construction and labor cost payments at Busan Port construction sites and protecting the rights and interests of workers.
Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, stated, “We will do our best to ensure fair payment of fees and wages so that construction workers do not suffer disadvantages before and after the Lunar New Year holiday, and to help workers maintain a stable working environment.”
