Joseonho, Head of Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, Holds Meeting with Headquarters Legal Support Team

On the 22nd, Jo Seon-ho, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, held a New Year's meeting with the 'Gyeonggi-do Fire Legal Support Group' at the headquarters' small conference room in Maesan-ro 1-ga, Suwon.


The Gyeonggi-do Fire Legal Support Group was launched in March 2018 to protect the rights of firefighters and respond to various legal disputes. It is composed of Gyeonggi-do firefighters who hold lawyer qualifications.


During the meeting, Jo Seon-ho, head of the Fire and Disaster Headquarters, shared opinions on the group's operational achievements last year and its future development directions.

Last year, the Legal Support Group handled a total of 1,140 cases, including ▲613 legal consultations ▲404 legal advisories ▲83 legal accompaniments ▲66 litigation supports ▲19 external advisories ▲31 others. This represents a 16% (158 cases) increase compared to the previous year (982 cases).


Jo Seon-ho, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "With the help of the Legal Support Group, field personnel have been able to more actively protect the lives and property of the public," and promised, "We will spare no support to ensure that legal support activities can be carried out more broadly in the future."
