Up to 100,000 KRW Support for Qualification Exam Fees and Interview Hair and Makeup Costs for Unemployed Youth
Free Interview Suit Rental... Up to 3 Times a Year, Apply at Least 7 Days Before Interview Date

<Mapo-gu Supports Youth Employment by Lending Suits and Providing Exam Fee Assistance>

Mapo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Gang-su) will actively promote customized projects to support youth skill development and job-seeking activities starting January 2025.

The support projects are divided into the "Youth Employment Preparation Expense Support Project" and the "Free Youth Interview Suit Rental Service."

The "Youth Employment Preparation Expense Support Project" provides support for exam fees and hair and makeup costs for interview preparation to unemployed youth aged 19 to 39 residing in the area who take qualification exams after January 1, 2025.

The qualification exams include 19 types of language tests such as English, Japanese, and Chinese, the Korean History Proficiency Test (basic and advanced), and 888 types of nationally certified qualification exams.

Support is available once in a lifetime, up to a maximum of 100,000 KRW, and applications can be submitted until December this year. However, the program may close early if the budget is exhausted.

Additionally, in December 2023, Mapo-gu signed a business agreement with the custom suit company J·JINHOMME Gongdeok branch to provide free interview suit rentals essential for employment preparation to Mapo-gu youth.

Job-seeking youth can rent interview suits that fit them for 3 days and 2 nights, with support available up to 3 times per year.

The rental includes all necessary interview clothing such as jackets, pants (skirts), shirts, ties, and shoes, and applications must be submitted at least 7 days before the interview date.

If the number of monthly applicants exceeds 20, support will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, prioritizing new applicants.

Detailed project information and application methods can be found on the Mapo-gu website. Youth wishing to apply should submit the application form and supporting documents via email to the Mapo-gu Employment Cooperation Division.

Mayor Park Gang-su of Mapo-gu said, "We hope that customized employment support will become a strong ally for youth preparing for employment," and added, "Mapo-gu will continue to actively prepare practical and tangible policies so that young people can create a hopeful future."
