On the 21st, the Ministry of Environment announced that on the 22nd, emergency fine dust reduction measures will be implemented in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, Gangwon Yeongseo, Sejong, Chungbuk, Chungnam, Gwangju, and Jeonbuk regions.

High-concentration fine dust emergency reduction measures are issued when the concentration of ultrafine dust (PM2.5) is expected to exceed 50㎍ per 1㎥. Air-emitting workplaces and construction sites will implement reduction measures such as changing or adjusting operating hours. The public is also encouraged to use public transportation.

Tomorrow, Korea will be located on the edge of a high-pressure system moving eastward over the southern sea, with westerly winds continuing to blow, causing fine dust to flow in during the morning. This fine dust is expected to return to a 'normal' level only by Friday the 24th.

The temperature on the 22nd is expected to be warmer than usual. The morning low temperature is forecasted to be between -6 and 3 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature between 5 and 13 degrees Celsius.

On the east coast, Gangwon mountain areas, northeastern mountain areas of Gyeongbuk, and Busan in Yeongnam, the air is dry, making fires more likely, so special caution is required.
