Yeosu City to Provide 300,000 KRW in Public Utility Support for Small Restaurant Owners

Applications Open from the 3rd of Next Month
Expectations for Local Economic Recovery

Yeosu City, South Jeolla Province (Mayor Jung Kimyung) announced that it will provide public utility fee support of 300,000 KRW to 2,920 restaurants operated by small business owners.


According to the city, this support is part of an emergency measure to alleviate the burden on small business owners who are struggling due to the recent economic downturn caused by the current martial law and impeachment situation.

The support is available to small business owners with fewer than 5 regular employees and annual sales of less than 104 million KRW (based on simplified taxation standards). Upon application, a grant of 300,000 KRW will be provided.


Applications can be submitted from the 3rd to the 28th of next month at the community centers in the towns and districts where the businesses are located. The city will review the applications, confirm the recipients, and then provide the support funds.


Mayor Jung Kimyung stated, "We expect this to provide practical help to small restaurant business owners who are struggling due to weakened consumer sentiment," and added, "We will seek additional support measures to revitalize the local economy."
