Empathy and Communication Meeting with Gasan-myeon Residents Held for 2025

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 21st that it held the "2024 Gasan-myeon Resident Empathy Communication Meeting" at the Gasan Cultural and Sports Center on the 20th.

The meeting was attended by Baek Young-hyun, Mayor of Pocheon, Im Jong-hoon, Chairman of the Pocheon City Council, members of the Pocheon City Council, Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly members Yoon Chung-sik and Kim Seong-nam, heads of institutions and organizations in Gasan-myeon, and village chiefs from each ri, totaling about 50 people.

The meeting proceeded with reports on the major achievements of 2024 and the plans for key projects in 2025 by Yoon Jeong-ah, Head of Gasan-myeon, a report on the status of handling suggestions from the 2024 meetings, a report on Pocheon City’s major priority projects by Lee Ji-hyang, Director of Residential Environment Improvement, followed by listening to residents’ suggestions and providing responses.

Residents of Gasan-myeon requested and suggested the installation of drainage channels along the road section from Masan-ri 765-2 to the Hupyeong-ro intersection, the installation of a parking lot at the Masan 3-ri Senior Citizens’ Center (village hall), expansion work on the drainage channel for the second section of the agricultural road No. 302, and the installation of vegetation blocks around 218-1 Majeon-ri (old ditch/national land), with department heads providing responses to these requests.

Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, “We are approaching communication with the attitude that ‘all answers lie on site.’ We will actively secure budgets to resolve residents’ inconveniences and current issues and accelerate problem-solving to create a Pocheon City that achieves practical changes.”
