Jeongeup City Holds Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event at Saemgoeul Market

Lunar New Year Event from January 23 to 27
Maximum Reimbursement of 20,000 Won Per Person

Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk Province announced on the 21st that it will hold an Onnuri Gift Certificate reimbursement event at Saemgoeul Market from the 23rd to the 27th.


This event, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, is a Lunar New Year event prepared by the Saemgoeul Market Merchants Association (President Lee Heunggu) to revitalize the traditional market and ease the burden of rising prices for shoppers.

To participate, customers can purchase domestically produced agricultural, livestock, or marine products at designated stores within Saemgoeul Market, then bring their purchase receipt (card or cash receipt only) and ID to the customer lounge on the first floor of the Merchants Association.


The event operates from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the maximum reimbursement per person is 20,000 won.


The reimbursement benefit can be applied once per person for agricultural/livestock products and once for marine products. If the purchase amount is 34,000 won or more, customers will receive 10,000 won in Onnuri Gift Certificates; for purchases of 67,000 won or more, they will receive 20,000 won.


Mayor Lee Haksoo stated, "I hope this will be an opportunity to bring vitality back to traditional markets that have been struggling due to high prices and economic downturn," and added, "Through this Lunar New Year reimbursement event, I hope citizens can prepare abundant shopping baskets and enjoy a joyful holiday with their families."
