Unused ID Cards Can Be Restricted in Advance

IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 21st the launch of the 'ID Card Safety Service,' a security service that can restrict the use of ID cards selected by customers during non-face-to-face identity verification.

This service allows users to register physical resident registration cards, physical driver's licenses, and mobile ID cards on i-One Bank (for individual customers) and set their usage with an on/off function. If someone attempts identity theft on i-One Bank using a lost ID card, the real-name verification is blocked, eliminating the risk of non-face-to-face account opening.

An IBK Industrial Bank official said, "We maintain the highest level of security among domestic financial institutions, reducing non-face-to-face financial accidents caused by identity theft by more than 70% annually," adding, "We will continue to introduce innovative security services aiming for 'zero' financial accidents for our customers."

In addition to the ID Card Safety Service, IBK Industrial Bank supports safe digital banking usage through Location Safety, Time Safety, Account Safety, and Open Banking Safety services.
