Childcare Support Measures in Response to Temporary Holiday Designation
Operation of Holiday Childcare Centers and 365 Open Childcare Centers

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is preparing and operating child care support measures. Due to the designation of January 27 as a temporary holiday, the district will provide various child care supports for dual-income families and families in urgent need of care.

The Child Care Service is a system that provides direct visit care services to children under 12 years old in families experiencing a parenting gap. Applications can be made through the online ‘Child Care Service’ website, and weekday fee regulations apply. There are 163 caregivers available for this service.

As a ‘Holiday Childcare Center,’ the public Saessak Childcare Center located in Sangbong-dong is available. It is intended for infants and toddlers currently using the childcare center. Operating hours are from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM, and those wishing to use the service must register by phone with the childcare center. Up to 5 children can be accommodated.

As a ‘365 Open Childcare Center,’ the public Haetsalarae Bodeum Nanum-i Childcare Center operates. The target users are preschool children aged from 6 months to under 7 years old. It operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with childcare hours from 7:30 AM to midnight. Reservations can be made in advance through the online ‘Seoul Childcare Portal Service’ or by same-day visit registration. The maximum number of users is 5, and if the capacity is exceeded, additional teachers will be assigned, so phone inquiries are necessary.

Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “We have strengthened childcare support so that residents raising children can continue their daily lives with peace of mind even on temporary holidays,” and added, “We will continue to prepare various programs to enhance the convenience of residents.”

The district also provides childcare services during the Lunar New Year holiday. The Jungnang-gu Joint Childcare Room operates normally on January 25, and the Haetsalarae Joint Childcare Room operates from January 25 to 26. The Meokgol Kkoma Joint Childcare Room operates on January 25 and 30, and the Jungnang Indoor Playground Branch 1 and Green Narae Joint Childcare Room operate on January 25, 26, and 30.
