Revitalize the Local Economy and Support Traditional Markets Through Lunar New Year Shopping
Members of the Gimcheon City Hall in Gyeongbuk are actively participating in 'traditional market shopping' to boost the local commercial district and contribute to revitalizing the regional economy in celebration of the Lunar New Year.
The Gimcheon City Waterworks and Sewerage Department announced on the 20th that on the 17th, ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, they held a shopping event at Pyeonghwa Market to support traditional market merchants and invigorate the local economy.

More than 20 employees from the Waterworks and Sewerage Department voluntarily took part in the shopping event to provide some assistance to merchants struggling with rising prices and economic downturn, purchasing various goods and food items at Pyeonghwa Market using Gimcheon Love Gift Certificates.
A representative from the Gimcheon City Waterworks and Sewerage Department said, “Although the difficulties in the local economy continue, we hope that through this shopping event, the traditional market will regain vitality and that local merchants and residents can coexist and prosper together.”
