Jeongeup City Supports Diversification of Eco-friendly Agricultural Products

Applications Accepted Until July 4
Support for Agricultural Product Storage Warehouses and Sorting Centers

Jeongeup City, located in North Jeolla Province, is accepting applications for its 2025 support project until July 4 to diversify eco-friendly agricultural products and establish a stable supply system.

According to the city on the 20th, this project was launched to meet the rising demand for eco-friendly agricultural products, such as those used in school meals, and to establish a stable production and supply system through diversification of product categories.

In particular, the project focuses on encouraging the transition to various crops by supporting production management centered on fruits and vegetables, thereby expanding production even in crops where practicing eco-friendly agriculture is challenging.

Eligible applicants are agricultural management entities and producer organizations certified for eco-friendly agricultural products, with a certified cultivation area of at least 1,000 square meters for open-field crops or at least 330 square meters for facility-grown crops.

The support covers a wide range of areas, including production facilities (single-span and multi-span greenhouses), irrigation and drainage equipment (facilities), fruit cultivation facilities, cold storage facilities, agricultural product storage warehouses, and sorting centers, with funding available for both new installations and renovations.

Mayor Lee Haksoo said, "I would like to express my gratitude to the farming households who are dedicated to producing eco-friendly agricultural products despite the difficult conditions such as the aging rural population," and added, "We will continue to provide various forms of support for the sustainable development of eco-friendly agriculture."

Applications for this project can be submitted at the Eup, Myeon, or Dong Administrative Welfare Centers in the area where the farmland is located.
