Safety Management Measures Meeting Held for Each Sector Ahead of Lunar New Year Holiday
Sacheon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 20th that, with the 27th designated as a temporary holiday, it will establish safety management measures across various sectors and implement 24-hour thorough safety management in preparation for the extended Lunar New Year holiday.
The city held the '2025 Lunar New Year Holiday Safety Management Measures Meeting' at the comprehensive situation room on the 6th floor of City Hall, chaired by Im Jeong-ui, Director of the Citizen Safety Bureau, with a total of 10 participants including heads of related departments.
This meeting was organized to minimize inconveniences for citizens during the Lunar New Year holiday by conducting pre-inspections of vulnerable facilities and taking proactive measures in disaster situations.
During the meeting, comprehensive checks were made on ▲winter disaster response ▲road management measures ▲fire prevention and safety culture campaigns ▲price control ▲safety management for vulnerable groups ▲transportation ▲forest fire prevention ▲livestock quarantine measures.
Additionally, detailed reviews were conducted on ▲household waste collection measures ▲healthcare measures including emergency rooms, operating medical institutions, and pharmacies ▲and water supply safety measures to prepare for water outages and frozen water meters and pipes.
Im Jeong-ui, Director of the Citizen Safety Bureau, stated, “From January 25 to 30, we will establish thorough safety management measures to ensure that visitors returning to their hometowns and citizens can safely spend the Lunar New Year holiday,” and added, “We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday.”
