Various Winter Play Experiences Offered for Children with Disabilities

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) will unveil the Jungnang-gu Children's Snow Sledding Park, specially operated for children with disabilities, on the 20th.

This event was organized to provide children with disabilities, who usually find it difficult to use snow sledding facilities, with opportunities to experience winter sports and enjoy healthy leisure activities.

The event, held on the closed days of the Jungnang-gu Children's Snow Sledding Park, will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free, but some play facilities will operate for a fee. Various winter play areas such as large and small snow sledding hills, a snow play hill, an ice sledding area, and experience booths will be prepared to create special memories for children with disabilities.

In particular, seven organizations, including the Jungnang-gu Disabled Sports Association and local welfare centers for the disabled, are cooperating to actively support children with disabilities so they can have a richer and more enjoyable time.

The district prioritizes the safety of children with disabilities by deploying numerous safety personnel and thoroughly completing pre-event facility safety inspections. Considering that there is no dedicated parking lot for visitors to the event site, the use of public transportation is encouraged.

Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi of Jungnang-gu said, “I hope children with disabilities will create joyful winter memories at the Jungnang-gu Children's Snow Sledding Park,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure that everyone participating in the event has a safe and happy time.”

The district is operating the Jungnang-gu Children's Snow Sledding Park at Junghwa Sports Park along the Jungnangcheon Stream for local children on winter break. The operation period is until February 9, with closures every Monday and during the Lunar New Year holidays (January 28 and 29).
