This sponsorship was implemented with the purpose of helping the economic activities of vulnerable groups, revitalizing the local economy, and supporting the depressed local commercial districts.
The donated funds will be used to purchase agricultural, fishery, and livestock products from the Gijang area, and will be evenly distributed to 305 senior centers in 5 towns and townships within Gijang County, as well as to marginalized neighbors such as households receiving basic living security benefits and low-income elderly living alone, through the Gijang County Office.
Lee Sang-wook, head of the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, “I hope this sponsorship will be of some help to the local neighbors in need and to the revitalization of the local economy. Going forward, the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters will continue to carry out support activities that contribute to the lives of local residents and develop together with the community.”
