Vacant House Maintenance Subsidy Increased to 6 Million Won
Starting this year, all families with newborns in the Taean region of Chungnam will receive 500,000 won in postpartum care support.
Additionally, the subsidy for the vacant house maintenance project will increase from 5 million won to 6 million won per house, and the annual donation limit for the Hometown Love Donation Program will be expanded from 5 million won to 20 million won.
Taean County announced on the 18th that it has organized and published on the county website information on 48 policies and systems across three sectors?administration & safety, welfare & health, and economy & industry?that will change this year, so that residents can maximize their benefits.
First, starting this year, all mothers in families with newborns who have their resident registration in Taean County will receive 500,000 won in postpartum care support (1 million won for low-income, welfare recipients, or single-parent families).
For families with multiple births, an additional 50% per child will be provided. Applications can be made at the local township office or the Maternal and Child Health Office at Taean County Health and Medical Center.
A new program to support mortgage loan interest for newlyweds will also be implemented this year.
This expands the previous support, which was limited to jeonse (rental deposit) loans, to include home purchase loans, providing up to 1 million won per year for up to three years to newlyweds aged 18 to 45. Applications can be made at the local township office.
The subsidy for the vacant house maintenance project, aimed at improving the local residential environment, will also be increased.
The county plans to encourage voluntary demolition by raising the demolition subsidy from 5 million won to 6 million won. Residents who wish to apply can visit the Housing Team at the County Office's Rapid Permit Department.
In addition to county-specific policies, various improvements to government policies and systems will also be implemented.
For the Hometown Love Donation Program, the annual donation limit per person will be significantly increased from 5 million won to 20 million won, and the vehicle acquisition tax reduction will be eased from exemption for families with three children to a 50% reduction for families with two children.
Furthermore, the acquisition tax reduction limit for first-time buyers of small homes will be raised from 2 million won to 3 million won, and those without a home or with only one home who purchase a house valued at 300 million won or less in a population-declining area, including Taean County, will receive a 25% reduction in acquisition tax.
Other changes to be implemented this year include: extending the regular vehicle inspection period to four months; allowing the establishment of rural stay-type shelters; making fire extinguishers mandatory in all vehicles with five or more seats; increasing support for Culture Nuri Cards and sports class vouchers for low-income families; and introducing a notification system for farmland improvement activities.
A county official stated, "We are working to identify and implement policies that residents can truly feel in their daily lives," and added, "We will actively promote newly implemented or expanded policies so that they can contribute to regional development and the welfare of our residents."
