The Special Investigation Unit of the National Police Agency announced that they executed the arrest warrant for Kim at around 10:23 a.m. that day.
Kim failed to comply with three summonses from the Special Investigation Unit of the National Police Agency, leading to the issuance of the arrest warrant.
When Kim appeared at the National Police Agency's Special Investigation Unit at 10:03 a.m., he responded to the question, "Do you admit to the charge of obstructing the execution of the warrant?" by saying, "I carried out a legitimate security duty."
When asked, "What points will you mainly clarify?" Kim replied, "As someone who did not fulfill my duties, I have nothing to say."
Kim claimed that he never ordered security personnel to use weapons and stated that the security personnel carry weapons at all times.
The police had planned to arrest former Chief Kim during the execution of the second arrest warrant on the 15th but did not carry out the warrant at the request of President Yoon's side.
