Namyangju City Holds Meeting to Strengthen Emergency Medical System
for Lunar New Year Holiday Safety
Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 16th that it held the 'Namyangju Emergency Medical Council Meeting' on the 15th to maintain the emergency medical system and ensure citizen safety during the Lunar New Year holiday period.

The meeting was attended by representatives from nine local medical institutions, including Namyangju Fire Station, Hyundai Hospital, Namyangju Hanyang Hospital, L Hospital, Namyangju Baek Hospital, Won Hospital, Very Good Hospital, Imom Children's Hospital, Dasan Cheongaram Children's Hospital, and Samsung Prime Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic.
With the 'Lunar New Year Emergency Special Response Week' scheduled to take place for a total of nine days from January 25 to February 2, Namyangju City discussed establishing an emergency response system and expanding the number of 'open medical institutions.'
The main topics discussed at the meeting included △local emergency medical issues and cooperation plans △sharing emergency patient information and establishing a rapid transfer hotline △updating the emergency medical council's emergency contact network, focusing on practical measures to protect citizens' lives and safety.
Lee Jeong-mi, Director of Namyangju Pungyang Public Health Center, stated, “Emergency medical institutions will maintain a 24-hour treatment system during the Lunar New Year holiday so that citizens can receive medical care at any time. We will make every effort to respond quickly in case of disasters through cooperation with related organizations and protect the health and safety of citizens.”
Namyangju Public Health Center has organized a 'Rapid Response Team' to prepare for emergencies during the holiday period, and the status of medical institutions and pharmacies operating during the holiday can be checked on the city’s website.
