On the morning of the 16th, Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin District, attended the New Year's Thanksgiving Worship Service hosted by the Gwangjin District Christian Association (President Pastor Park Sang-ho) held at the Gwangjin District Office auditorium.

About 90 people, including Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin District, members of the Gwangjin District Christian Association, and members of the District Office Christian Missionary Association, gathered to pray for the well-being and development of the residents.

The event, which began with a New Year's Thanksgiving Worship Service, proceeded with the awarding of commendations, presentation of appreciation plaques, and donation of funds. First, Pastor Park Sang-ho of Yeomyeong Church, president of the Christian Association, awarded a commendation to an exemplary public official from the Christian Missionary Association. Then, Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin District, presented an appreciation plaque to Pastor Park Sang-ho.

The Gwangjin District Christian Association donated 3 million won to help underprivileged neighbors and delivered an encouraging speech pledging to practice sharing with the district for marginalized neighbors. Earlier, in 2023, the district established the Culture and Arts and Year-end Affairs Team and has been supporting cultural and arts events for residents in cooperation with religious organizations by utilizing their performance experience and resources since last year.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin District, said, “I thank the Christian Association for showing warmth and providing help to the vulnerable neighbors in our community. We will continue to actively communicate with the religious community and do our best to realize companionship with the disadvantaged.”
