In response to Changwon City's request to help small business owners pushed to the brink due to sluggish domestic demand and deteriorating consumer sentiment and to bring warmth to the frozen livelihood economy, Choi Jae-ho, chairman of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Shin Sang-yul, chairman of the Changwon Small Business Association, actively participated, making this event possible.

Through the business agreement, the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry will lead a ‘relay campaign’ to encourage local companies to participate in prepayment, and the Changwon Small Business Association promises to purchase and promote products from participating companies to maintain a sustainable win-win relationship between local companies and small business owners.

It is expected that through this agreement, the Good Prepayment Campaign, which was previously limited to public institutions, will voluntarily spread to the private sector as well, producing a positive effect on revitalizing the local economy.

Mayor Hong Nam-pyo said, “I appreciate the companies’ participation in prepayment, and I believe that if the local community continues to unite like this, we will overcome the current economic crisis well,” adding, “The city will also devote all administrative efforts to actively respond to the difficult local economic situation caused by reduced consumption.”

Meanwhile, the ‘Good Prepayment Campaign’ is a policy promoted by Changwon City at the beginning of the year as a measure to revitalize the livelihood economy by supporting timely fund circulation for small business owners. The campaign aims to achieve payments of 2 billion won, which is 30% of the business promotion expenses and meal allowances of all departments, by February.
