Bangung Opens 22nd Store
with New Road Shop at Wangsimni Station
Eland Eats announced on the 16th that its traditional Korean hot pot rice franchise 'Bangung' has newly opened a store at Wangsimni Station.
The newly opened Wangsimni Station store is Bangung's 22nd location. It opened as a road shop inside the Wangsimni Station building. Bangung designed an owner-centered cooking system aiming for a three-step cooking process. With logistics deliveries conducted six days a week, it secured high-quality menu items and operational stability. Based on this, it recorded a 0% closure rate even during the COVID-19 period (from February 2020 to May 2023).
Recently, Bangung has been gaining popularity not only as a family dining spot but also as a place for gatherings with acquaintances and office workers' lunch spots. In particular, the signature menu "Hamcho Fish Assortment Grilled Set for Two," which offers three types of fish?mackerel, flounder, and salmon?salted with hamcho, along with stew and hot pot rice, is said by the company to be highly popular among group customers.
A Bangung representative said, "Through the opening of the Wangsimni Station store, we will increase customer touchpoints and deliver the value of heartfelt Korean cuisine to more customers," adding, "We plan to continue expanding franchises with Bangung's uniquely differentiated taste and quality."
Meanwhile, Eland Eats operates dining franchise brands such as Bangung, Teru, Asiamoon, and Steaks. They hold startup briefing sessions twice a month for prospective entrepreneurs.
