This competition, which reviews the past year, is the most prestigious video advertising festival in Korea that selects the best of the best among video advertisements screened in 2024.

Dongseo University earned the honor of being selected as the ‘University of the Year’ with the best performance among advertising and public relations departments nationwide this year, in collaboration with ‘Agency of the Year’ Innocean. Additionally, they won a Gold Award and three Bronze Awards, along with three Finalist works at the YOUNG CREATIVE AWARDS, and Professor Ryu Do-sang (Dongseo University) achieved the distinction of ‘Professor of the Year.’

Under the slogan “With the most popular perspective, the most fair,” the Seoul Video Advertising Festival was rigorously judged by 340,000 votes from general netizens, 18,000 review scores (30%), a second round of 72 professional judges (30%), and a final panel of 21 main award judges (40%). All winning works can be viewed on the TVCF website and the official Seoul Video Advertising Festival website.

The Gold Award-winning work ‘Crocs Check’ was created by students Moon Ki-hyun, Jo Hyun-min, Kwon Eun-kyung, Hong Myung-yoon, and Kang Dong-ho. The Bronze Award-winning work ‘Safety Expiration Date Sticker’ was by students Sung Min-seon, Song Da-eun, Moon Hyung-bin, and Yang Jun-hyuk. ‘Michelin Zone’ was created by students Lee Jung-eon, Hong Da-bin, Kim Si-eun, Choi Ji-hyuk, and Oh Jun-young, and ‘Glitch’ was by students Kim Ga-young, Jo Min-woong, Yoon Hyun-soo, Lee Jae-hyuk, and Park Dong-hee.

These award-winning works are the results of IFS classes and creative problem-solving classes (advertising and public relations), as well as ideation convergence practice (advertising and public relations + software) convergence classes, supported by the LINC3.0 Project Group, SW-Centered University Project Group, and University Innovation Support Project Group.

The Gold Award-winning work ‘Crocs Check’ is based on data from the Child Crime Prevention Safety Center, which states that in the United States, one child disappears every 40 seconds. Most child disappearances occur when the child is with their parents. Parents search for their child, but since the child also moves, their locations often do not match, making it difficult to find them. This idea uses the easily recognizable RED/GREEN LIGHT of traffic signals to prevent disappearances.

Jo Hyun-min (majoring in Visual Design) said, “Through the class, I learned many things and was able to create good ideas and evoke empathy based on various experiences. This award was a personally valuable experience, and I will not forget this moment and work even harder.”
