The Miryang Hydrogen Charging Station has completed stable operation preparations after undergoing high-pressure gas final inspection and hydrogen quality inspection by the Korea Gas Safety Corporation, trial operation, and charging performance tests. The charging capacity is 120 kg per hour, equipped to charge 4.8 buses (cargo) or 24 passenger cars (Nexo).

Miryang City appointed the Korea Gas Technology Corporation, a gas-specialized equipment and operation institution, as the entrusted operator to ensure expertise and safety in hydrogen charging, storage, and handling. The charging station operates from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, year-round.

Mayor Ahn Byung-gu said, “Through the opening of this hydrogen charging station, we expect to provide a convenient charging environment for hydrogen vehicle users in the region and serve as an important stepping stone for Miryang City to advance as a clean energy city.” He added, “We will continue to expand various eco-friendly infrastructures and strive to achieve carbon neutrality goals.”

Meanwhile, residents of Miryang City can receive a subsidy of 33.1 million KRW when purchasing a hydrogen passenger car. For inquiries regarding hydrogen vehicle subsidies, please contact the Miryang City Environmental Management Division.
