Asan City to Issue Additional 7 Billion Won in Local Currency for Lunar New Year

Asan City in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 16th that it will issue an additional 7 billion KRW worth of local currency, "Asan Pay," to boost the local economy ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.

Asan Pay will be available for purchase from the 20th to the 31st, with a maximum individual purchase limit of 500,000 KRW and a maximum holding limit of 1,000,000 KRW per person.

Purchases can be made through the "Local Gift Certificate chak" app, and a 10% discount will be applied at the time of purchase.

Meanwhile, the 17 billion KRW worth of Asan Pay issued earlier this month was sold out in just five days.
