The scope of recipients eligible for negotiated contract supply of facility sites such as urban-type factories within public housing sites has been expanded from the existing mayors, county governors, and district heads to provincial governors, which is expected to boost investment attraction for leading companies (anchor companies) in Gyeonggi-do.

Gyeonggi-do announced on the 16th that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport notified the revision of the "Land Development Work Handling Guidelines" with this content on the 3rd.

Previously, only mayors, county governors, and district heads could recommend recipients for negotiated contracts on self-sufficient land.

Gyeonggi-do Secures Recommendation Rights for Sole-Source Contracts with Leading Companies in New Towns... Expanding Investment Attraction Gyeonggi Provincial Government

Since August last year, Gyeonggi-do has negotiated with the Ministry of Land to expand the recipients of negotiated contract supply to include heads of local governments such as provincial governors, in order to more smoothly promote the key task of the 8th elected administration, "Investment Attraction 100 Trillion+."

Accordingly, Gyeonggi-do has created a more favorable environment to attract promising domestic and foreign companies in areas such as the 3rd New Town and Gyeonggi Technovalley.

Lee Gye-sam, Director of the Urban Housing Office of Gyeonggi-do, stated, "By acquiring the authority to recommend negotiated contracts for self-sufficient land such as urban-type factories, the environment for attracting companies to public housing sites and the 3rd New Town in Gyeonggi-do has improved."
