'Communication District Mayor' Kim Kyung-ho, Gwangjin District Mayor, Starts Joint Work Report Meeting

Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the ‘2025 Dong Work Report Meetings’ from January 15, starting with Junggok 1-dong, until February 7 to welcome the new year of Eulsa.

The Dong Work Report Meetings are occasions to implement communication administration that approaches residents more closely along with New Year greetings. The meetings will tour through 15 dongs, sharing the dong’s vision, achievements, and the direction of district development with residents, and listening to their opinions.

The schedule for the report meetings is as follows: January 15 at Junggok 1-dong and Junggok 2-dong; ▲January 17 at Jayang 3-dong and Jayang 4-dong; ▲January 20 at Jayang 1-dong and Jayang 2-dong; ▲January 22 at Junggok 3-dong and Junggok 4-dong; ▲January 24 at Guui 1-dong and Guui 3-dong; ▲February 3 at Neung-dong and Gunja-dong; ▲February 5 at Guui 2-dong and Gwangjang-dong; ▲February 7 at Hwayang-dong.

The report meeting held at Junggok 1-dong Community Center on that day was attended by about 150 representatives from various sectors of the community. The event included New Year’s greetings, a report on the current status and achievements of Junggok 1-dong, a report on major district administrative plans, and a time for dialogue with residents.

Gwangjin-gu Mayor Kim Kyung-ho personally explained last year’s key project achievements, this year’s major work plans, and policy projects. Declaring this year as the ‘First Year of Gwangjin Re-creation,’ he shared the district vision and key projects in six areas: balanced development, mutual welfare, economic vitality, culture and education, safety and environment, and open communication with the residents. He especially emphasized the district’s consecutive two-year top grade in the comprehensive public institution integrity evaluation, achieved based on residents’ trust.

During the dialogue with residents, Mayor Kim responded to residents’ suggestions. Moving beyond the conventional report meeting format, the focus was on communicating with residents and creating a free atmosphere for discussion. Questions that could be answered on the spot were addressed immediately, and those requiring more time will be answered later by the relevant departments, ensuring that residents’ voices are fully considered.

Gwangjin-gu Mayor Kim Kyung-ho said, “The Dong Work Report Meetings are precious times to present and share the district’s vision with local residents. We hope for active interest and participation from the community.” He added, “2025 marks the 30th anniversary of Gwangjin-gu’s establishment and the first year of Gwangjin Re-creation. Based on past achievements, we will definitely bring about changes that residents can feel.”

The Dong Work Report Meetings will be broadcast live on the Gwangjin-gu Office YouTube channel, allowing anyone to watch from anywhere without attending in person.
