"With anticipation for a special encounter in Taean, the garden of Korea, we hereby declare 2025 as the Year of Visiting Taean!"

Taean County in South Chungcheong Province has officially announced the launch of the "2025 Year of Visiting Taean," taking its first step toward becoming the nation’s top tourist and leisure city.

On the 14th, the county held the proclamation ceremony for the "2025 Year of Visiting Taean" at the Grand Performance Hall of the Taean Culture and Arts Center, with over 800 attendees including County Mayor Gar Se-ro, officials from South Chungcheong Province, the county council chair, provincial and county council members, residents, and tourists.

This proclamation ceremony was held to officially mark the beginning of the "2025 Year of Visiting Taean" and to express Taean’s commitment to welcoming visitors. The event featured a pre-ceremony musical ensemble performance, followed by welcoming and congratulatory speeches, the appointment of promotional ambassadors for the Year of Visiting Taean, and the screening of a themed video.

On this day, singers Lee Jinsung (Monday Kiz), Na Taejoo, Seo Young-eun, and vocalist Ahn Gap-seong were appointed as promotional ambassadors for the Year of Visiting Taean, receiving enthusiastic applause. The atmosphere reached its peak as County Mayor Gar Se-ro read the proclamation and attendees participated in a performance to promote "Taean, the garden of Korea."

After the proclamation ceremony, a commemorative performance for the Year of Visiting Taean was held to great acclaim. At the outdoor stage of the Culture and Arts Center, various promotional booths (tourism, local specialties, marine healing, horticultural healing, national park) and experience booths (making nacre keyrings, knitting scarves) were set up, offering residents a unique and enjoyable experience.

In celebration of the Year of Visiting Taean, the county has set the slogan "Taean, the Garden of Korea" and plans to concretize Taean’s diverse attractions through various projects to draw many visitors.

In particular, the county will connect the soon-to-open Taean Marine Healing Center, beaches, various tourism resources, festivals, and sports events with the Year of Visiting Taean, and will prepare a range of events to maximize visitor satisfaction.

County Mayor Gar Se-ro stated, "Starting with today’s proclamation ceremony, we will promote projects in each field, including building our tourism brand, developing and operating tourism content, promotional marketing, and strengthening tourism infrastructure and readiness." He added, "We will discover tourism content for all four seasons and establish tailored promotional strategies for each generation and region."

He also said, "Together with all public officials and residents, we will do our utmost to showcase the true charm of 'Taean, the Garden of Korea' to everyone."
