Dangjin City Imposes 2025 Regular Registration License Tax

On the 15th, Dangjin City in Chungnam Province announced that it has imposed 36,538 cases of the 2025 regular license registration tax (license), amounting to 504 million KRW.

The taxpayers of the license registration tax (license) are those who hold various licenses as of January 1 each year, according to the Local Tax Act. Depending on the type of license, business area, number of employees, and other factors, the tax is imposed differently: from 7,500 KRW to 45,000 KRW in urban areas, and from 4,500 KRW to 27,000 KRW in town and township areas.

The payment period is from the 16th to the 31st, and payment can be made at any bank nationwide or through automated machines.

Additionally, residents can conveniently pay without visiting a bank by using the local tax payment phone service, Nonghyup virtual account payment, Wetax, Internet Giro, financial apps, or simple payment apps (KakaoPay, NaverPay, Payco app).

Meanwhile, Dangjin City is making every effort to promote payment, such as posting banners and broadcasting payment information, to prevent disadvantages such as a 3% late payment penalty due to non-payment of the license registration tax.
