Cheongsong-gun, "Pay 2025 Car Tax Annually in January and Receive a 4.58% Discount"

Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will accept applications for annual prepayment of automobile tax from the 16th to the 31st.

The annual prepayment system for automobile tax allows taxpayers to pay the automobile tax, which is regularly levied in June and December each year, in advance in January and receive a 4.58% deduction on the annual amount.

Following last year, a 5% deduction is applied for prepayment in January this year as well, so effectively, for the automobile tax prepaid during other periods (February to December) excluding January, a 4.58% deduction on the annual amount can be received.

Applications for prepayment can be made by visiting the Finance Department of the county office or the town and township offices, by phone, or conveniently through the local tax internet payment system, WETAX.

Taxpayers who have previously made annual prepayments will receive the automobile tax prepayment notice collectively, so no separate application is necessary. If ownership of the vehicle is transferred or canceled after the prepayment, a refund for the automobile tax corresponding to the remaining period excluding the ownership period can be received.
