Strengthening Emergency Medical Services through Active Admission of Critical and Emergency Patients and Prompt Response

This commendation is awarded to institutions that take the lead in protecting citizens' lives through cooperation with the 119 emergency medical team. Uijeongbu Eulji University Hospital was recognized for its contribution to strengthening the emergency medical system in northern Gyeonggi Province by actively accepting severe and emergency patients and responding promptly.
Uijeongbu Eulji University Hospital has established an emergency medical safety net by operating 24-hour emergency care for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, a pediatric emergency room, and two large-scale heliports. It is leading the establishment of a comprehensive medical system responsible for the final treatment of emergency patients by leveraging high-quality personnel and facilities.
Director Song Hyun stated, “We will enhance the response capabilities of paramedics who first attend to patients on site and strengthen communication with 119 in all areas such as hotline establishment, education, and training so that patients can receive specialist care more quickly.”
