Yeongdeok-gun Holds 2025 Major Business Promotion Plan Report Meeting

Reviewing Yeongdeok's Leap Forward Roadmap
Focusing on Six Major County Administration Goals for Residents' Happiness

Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held a major business report meeting on the 13th and 14th, attended by key executives including County Governor Kim Gwang-yeol, Deputy Governor Moon Seong-jun, department heads, and team leaders.

This report meeting was conducted in a group report format where departments with similar work characteristics attended together, aiming to review last year's county administration achievements, establish promotion strategies to derive results from this year's key projects and the 8th term election pledge projects, and build an active cooperation system through work sharing between departments or teams.

Accordingly, each department proceeded with reports focusing on project-specific promotion plans to realize this year's county administration goals and produce concrete results for major projects, then checked issues and sought countermeasures for prompt project implementation.

In particular, to realize the top priority task of regional economic recovery this year, ideas to increase tourists' stay time and local consumption, as well as ways to spread the effects of expanded wide-area transportation networks such as railroads and highways throughout the region, were discussed in depth.

Governor Kim Gwang-yeol said, “This year, all public officials will promote work with a sense of speed and proactive attitude centered on six major goals to create tangible results that residents can feel. We will prioritize the happiness of residents and devote all our efforts to satisfying both the happiness of residents and the satisfaction of visitors to the region.”

Yeongdeok-gun presented six major goals as this year's county administration direction: △ Targeting 15 million tourists and revitalizing tourism △ Improving living conditions for residents △ Sustainable development of rural and fishing villages △ Cultivating future talents and realizing a welfare Yeongdeok where all residents are happy △ Ensuring safety from disasters and accidents △ Securing new growth engines to pioneer new paths for the regional economy.
