Comprehensive Measures for Price Stabilization and Livelihood Economy Across 10 Key Sectors
Comprehensive Situation Room to Operate for Six Days During Lunar New Year, January 25-30

Yangsan City in Gyeongnam Province has established comprehensive measures across 10 sectors focusing on boosting domestic demand and stabilizing the livelihood economy to ensure that citizens can spend a safe and comfortable Lunar New Year holiday. The city will operate a comprehensive situation room for six days from January 25 to 30.

The city’s comprehensive situation room plans to organize task forces by sector to promptly address any issues arising in areas closely related to residents’ lives during the holiday period, such as emergency medical services, transportation safety measures, and household waste management.

The key focus areas by sector include ▲ stabilizing prices during the Lunar New Year holiday and stabilizing the livelihood economy and low-income households ▲ emergency medical care and infectious disease prevention management measures ▲ establishing a 24-hour safety response system ▲ devising transportation and safety measures ▲ timely processing of household waste ▲ stable supply of public services such as water supply, electricity, and gas ▲ establishing public service discipline and maintaining work systems, totaling 10 sectors.

In particular, to promote consumption in traditional markets, a campaign to revitalize the use of traditional markets will be conducted. The Yangsan Love Gift Certificate’s Lunar New Year cashback limit will be raised from 500,000 won to 700,000 won, and the cashback rate will increase from 7% to 10%. Additionally, events to stimulate consumption during the New Year holiday will be promoted to revitalize the local economy.

Alongside this, a “price stabilization measure” will be implemented targeting key Lunar New Year seasonal products. A price stabilization task force will be formed to investigate prices of agricultural and marine products, major personal services, and other seasonal goods, and to crack down on unfair trade practices to maintain a sound commercial order.

The city will designate and operate on-duty medical institutions and pharmacies, and establish a 24-hour emergency medical system to manage the operation status of emergency medical institutions, hospitals, clinics, and on-duty pharmacies.

Furthermore, safety management in sectors such as electricity and gas will be inspected, and a mobile water supply repair team will be organized to prepare for water supply accidents such as leaks. The city will also conduct visits to basic livelihood security recipients and national veterans, and focus administrative efforts on garbage collection and strengthening wildfire prevention activities.

A Yangsan City official stated, “By operating the comprehensive situation room by sector during the holiday period to prepare for emergencies, we will do our utmost to ensure that citizens can spend a safe and warm Lunar New Year holiday.”
