Discussion of Policy Strategies and Key Projects by 43 Departments
Yeongju City, Gyeongbuk Province (Mayor Park Nam-seo) will hold a major business plan briefing session for three days starting from the 15th to leap forward as a "bigger and more innovative Yeongju" in the era of a 1 trillion won main budget.
The briefing session will begin with the Economic and Industrial Bureau and involve 43 departments including offices, bureaus, affiliated organizations, and business sites, checking the progress of major projects and plans for new project execution.
In particular, the focus is on addressing the challenges faced by the region such as population decline, the risk of local extinction, and economic recession, strengthening the regional economic foundation to promote sustainable development.
Additionally, based on significant achievements such as the final approval of the Yeongju Advanced Bearing National Industrial Complex and the completion of the Yeongju Dam, plans are in place to build a foundation to utilize these and create a new turning point for city administration development.
Yeongju City aims to build a "bigger and newer leap-forward Yeongju" by solidifying the foundation of economy and tourism through substantial corporate attraction to the Yeongju Advanced Bearing National Industrial Complex, creating a regional vitality town, the Sangmang-dong Our Neighborhood Revitalization project, and renovation projects for vulnerable areas' living conditions, overcoming the risk of local extinction and emerging as a dynamic and new economic city.
Mayor Park Nam-seo stated, "Throughout the 8th term of the elected administration, based on a vibrant local economy and citizen-centered proactive administration, I hope each department will focus administrative power on steadily solving the challenges that Yeongju must address for change and development, and do their best in discovering new projects and carrying out tasks." He added, "Please strive so that Yeongju can move toward a better future with innovative thinking and creative solutions."
This briefing session is expected to be an important milestone for Yeongju City to overcome the risk of local extinction and emerge as a dynamic and sustainable economic city.
