Korea Golf Course Management Association Members Donated a Total of 2.1 Billion KRW Last Year

Daegu CC Donates 306 Million KRW, Hanyang CC Donates 250 Million KRW

Members of the Korea Golf Course Management Association donated over 2.1 billion KRW last year to places in local communities in need of warm-hearted support.

On the 15th, the Korea Golf Course Management Association announced, "As a result of investigating the 2024 social contribution activities of golf courses operated by member companies nationwide, a total donation of 2.1 billion KRW was confirmed." Daegu CC donated more than 306.4 million KRW to organizations such as the Korean Red Cross, the Lee Seung-yeop Baseball Scholarship Foundation, the Gyeongbuk Golf Association, and the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea. Hanyang CC carried out donation activities worth approximately 250 million KRW to support golf scholars and help underprivileged neighbors. Additionally, Mungyeong CC (180 million KRW), Phoenix Pyeongchang (121 million KRW), and Jeil CC (101 million KRW) delivered hope to local communities.

The Korea Golf Course Management Association explained, "Many golf courses are closed for extended periods during the winter season, so some did not respond, and some golf courses affiliated with large corporations did not disclose specific amounts," adding, "The actual amount of social contribution donations by member golf courses is expected to be much higher than the survey results."
