Expanding Exhibition Opportunities
for Local Artists
Naju City in Jeollanam-do is holding an open call for the "2025 Themed Exhibition" until the 24th.
The purpose of this open call is to promote local cultural and artistic activities by exhibiting works at the Bitgaram Observatory, a representative tourist attraction in the region, and to provide visitors with opportunities to share in artistic works.
In particular, during the exhibition period, venue rental fees will be waived so that not only professional artists but also ordinary citizens can display their works without financial burden.
The open call is for individuals or groups who reside in Naju City, and each exhibition can last from a minimum of two weeks to a maximum of three weeks. Applications are being accepted in person or by registered mail.
Bitgaram Observatory offers not only exhibitions but also various recreational facilities such as a monorail and a stone slide, providing entertainment for both citizens and tourists who visit.
Last year, six educational experience programs, including a forest experience for young children and pottery classes, were conducted on a trial basis. According to a satisfaction survey, over 90% of participants responded that they would like to participate in the programs again.
Naju City plans to expand Bitgaram Observatory as a space where citizens can create and enjoy culture, thereby revitalizing local culture and improving the living conditions in the innovation city.
A Naju City official said, "We will continue to make this a venue where local artists, residents, and tourists can share cultural experiences together through various exhibitions and programs."
