The recruitment projects include ‘Visiting Industrial Accident Prevention Education’ and ‘Industrial Accident Prevention for Emotional Laborers’ targeting small workplaces with fewer than 50 employees in the province, with a total budget of 450 million KRW.

The ‘Visiting Industrial Accident Prevention Education’ project, with a budget of 300 million KRW, will provide △ risk assessment practical training △ safety accident VR experience △ customized education for each company △ joint industrial accident and fire safety touring education in cooperation with fire stations to 800 workplaces with fewer than 50 employees.

Especially this year, as part of migrant worker protection measures following the Hwaseong fire accident, a new joint industrial accident and fire safety touring education in cooperation with fire stations will be conducted for 50 workplaces. The education content includes fire safety, evacuation procedures, initial fire extinguishing, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and first aid, with VR experiences conducted simultaneously.

The ‘Industrial Accident Prevention for Emotional Laborers’ project will invest 150 million KRW to provide △ rights protection education △ psychological healing counseling △ awareness improvement campaigns △ and surveys targeting emotional laborers and employers in the province. Notably, this year, psychological counseling and linkage activities for preventing death from overwork will be newly implemented, and individual counseling hours will be significantly expanded to 500 hours to promote the psychological stability of emotional laborers.

Eligible applicants are non-profit corporations or non-profit private organizations in the province that have experience in implementing each project or possess the capability and expertise to carry out the projects. The application period is until the 24th of this month. Gyeonggi Province plans to select one organization per project through document and presentation evaluations.

Organizations wishing to participate should submit the application form and required documents by the 24th via email or mail to the Gyeonggi Province Labor Safety Division (4th floor, Annex Building, Northern Provincial Government Office, 1 Cheongsa-ro, Uijeongbu-si).

Im Yong-gyu, head of the Gyeonggi Province Labor Safety Division, said, “Through these projects, we will actively support workers in small workplaces and emotional laborers to work in safer and healthier environments,” adding, “As these are meaningful projects, we ask for the interest and participation of organizations with expertise.”
