Damyang County, led by Governor Lee Byungno, held the opening ceremony for the '2025 New Year Practical Education for Farmers' at the Damyang Culture Center on the 14th to strengthen the capabilities of local farmers.
This program focuses on providing practical information to enhance agricultural competitiveness and promote eco-friendly farming, helping local farmers transition to sustainable agriculture.
The New Year Practical Education for Farmers will be conducted a total of 17 times across all areas of Damyang County until February 14, covering major crops such as rice, fruits, and vegetables, as well as topics like the use of microorganisms, agricultural product marketing, and experiential and healing agriculture courses.
In particular, following last year, this year’s program also includes education on the Public Direct Payment System to prevent fraudulent claims and promote the new registration system for agricultural management entities that will change in the new year.
The sessions will be held sequentially at town and township offices, with experienced field experts serving as instructors to provide lectures tailored to the needs of farmers.
Governor Lee Byungno stated, "This education will be a great help in sharing new technologies and information with farmers and strengthening agricultural competitiveness," adding, "I hope this will serve as a foundation for Damyang County to grow into a future-oriented agricultural city."
