The Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Office of SMEs and Startups announced on the 14th that the Jeonnam Eastern Office, in cooperation with related organizations, will hold the '2025 SME and Startup Support Program Briefing Session' to provide information on various support programs and application methods for local SMEs and startups.

The comprehensive briefing session, to be held on the 17th, will feature participation from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Jeonnam Provincial Government (Jeonnam Job and Economy Promotion Agency), Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, Korea Technology Finance Corporation, and other related organizations. The session will cover topics such as policy funds, technology development (R&D), startup support, guarantees, and exports, with individual consultations available for detailed business inquiries.

This briefing session aims to support small business owners and self-employed individuals in overcoming crises and stabilizing their management, as well as to enhance participation by promptly informing SMEs, ventures, and startups of support programs that can drive global advancement and innovative growth.

Additionally, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups plans to execute 100% of the budget for 54 projects, including the Startup Growth Technology Development Project (R&D), Startup Commercialization Support Project, and Regional Specialized Industry Promotion Project, in the first half of the year to revitalize domestic demand and accelerate economic recovery for businesses.

The briefing session is open to anyone without prior registration, and participants attending the on-site event will receive a complimentary copy of the '2025 SME Support Program' booklet.

Cho Busik, head of the Jeonnam Eastern Office of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, stated, "This is the first comprehensive policy briefing session jointly organized by SME support institutions in the eastern Jeonnam region. We hope it will be an opportunity for SMEs and small business owners facing challenging economic conditions to make good use of various SME policies." He added, "We will actively expand opportunities for multiple support organizations to visit SMEs in the field, address their difficulties, and communicate with them."
