Jongno-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jeong Munheon) will hold the "2024 Lunar New Year Jongno-gu Agricultural and Specialty Products Direct Market" at Cheongjin Park (146-3 Cheongjin-dong) from the 20th to the 21st of this month.

This event aims to serve as a platform connecting urban and rural areas, producers and consumers, providing consumers with opportunities to purchase high-quality agricultural and specialty products and ceremonial items, while supporting income increases for farmers.
The event is held in collaboration with six cities that have mutual partnerships with Jongno-gu?Goseong-gun, Gokseong-gun, Naju-si, Andong-si, Yeoju-si, Jeongeup-si?and Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province. Considering regional specialties, price competitiveness, and demand, 17 farms were carefully selected, with a total of 9 booths available.
The operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Major products for sale include sesame oil, salted seafood, shiitake mushrooms, gondre greens, strawberries, sweet potatoes, pears, salted mackerel, and acacia honey, each representing their respective cities. In addition, Jongno-gu will issue "Jongno Love Gift Certificates" worth a total of 5 billion KRW at 4 p.m. on the 14th. The discount rate is 5%, and individuals can purchase up to 500,000 KRW through the Seoul Pay Plus application. The maximum holding limit is 1.5 million KRW. The certificates can be used at 11,500 affiliated stores located within the district that accept Seoul Love Gift Certificates.
