Muan County Receives Minister of the Interior and Safety Award for Promoting Local Finance

Recognition for Achievements Including Additional Issuance of Muan Sarang Gift Certificate

Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) announced on the 13th that it has been selected as an Excellent Institution for Regional Financial Vitalization in 2024 and received a commendation from the Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

This award was given based on the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's evaluation of efforts and achievements in the field of regional financial vitalization. The county was recognized for its contribution to regional financial activation through initiatives such as promoting the Muan Sarang Gift Certificate.

Last year, the county actively strengthened the competitiveness of local businesses and promoted consumption through various policies utilizing the Muan Sarang Gift Certificate, including ▲issuance and management of the Muan Sarang Gift Certificate ▲crackdown on illegal distribution ▲the "Admission Fee Currency Dream" initiative at tourist sites ▲policy-based issuance such as agricultural and fisheries subsidies and entrance congratulatory funds ▲and rebate events for using good price stores.

In addition, as an emergency support policy to revitalize the stagnant local economy in December last year, the county issued an additional 10 billion KRW worth of Muan Sarang Gift Certificates and raised the monthly purchase limit per person to 700,000 KRW (from the previous 500,000 KRW), implementing various activation policies.

Governor Kim San stated, "This award was made possible by the active cooperation of our residents and small business owners," and added, "We will continue to do our best to revitalize the domestic economy by steadily issuing the Muan Sarang Gift Certificate."
