Soccer player Son Heung-min (32, Tottenham Hotspur) was defamed on social media by club staff members (MD) who falsely claimed that he paid tens of millions of won for drinks at a club in Gangnam.
The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced on the 13th that five club employees were sent to the prosecution without detention on charges of defamation. They decided not to prosecute on charges of obstruction of business.

Last August, these individuals posted on Instagram that Son Heung-min visited a club after the match between Tottenham and Bayern Munich held at Seoul World Cup Stadium and paid 30 million won for drinks.
In response, Son Heung-min's agency, Son and Football Limited, filed a complaint against the employees, stating, "Son Heung-min went straight home to rest immediately after the match."
