Seosan City in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 13th that it will implement the "Lunar New Year Waste Management Plan" until February 2nd to ensure that returning visitors and residents can enjoy a pleasant holiday.

According to the city, the management plan includes the following measures: △Lunar New Year environmental cleanup activities △Collection and schedule announcement for household waste during the holiday △Operation of an integrated environmental situation room and rapid response team.

Starting from the 13th, the city's Resource Circulation Division and local towns and districts will carry out "Lunar New Year Environmental Cleanup Activities" to provide a clean city environment and a pleasant journey home for returning visitors ahead of the holiday.

For the holiday waste collection schedule, household waste will not be collected on the first day of the holiday, the 26th, and on the 29th. On all other days, collection will proceed as usual.

During the holiday period, residents can dispose of household waste at the usual collection points after 8 p.m. on the 26th, 27th, 29th, and 30th.

The city plans to promote the holiday waste collection schedule through the Seosan City website, the Central Lake Park electronic display board, and the city's social media channels until the 30th.

Additionally, from the 25th to the 30th, the city will operate an integrated environmental situation room and a rapid response team for household waste to handle any complaints quickly.

From the 25th to the 30th, the city will also run an illegal dumping enforcement team to patrol vulnerable areas such as terminals and roadsides, and will issue warnings and fines for any illegal dumping detected.

A city official stated, "We will do our best to ensure that citizens can enjoy a pleasant Lunar New Year," and added, "We ask residents to follow the waste disposal schedule and join us in creating a clean holiday environment."
