Refusal of Security Headquarters Chief to Respond to Police Summons
The police announced on the 13th that they have filed charges against 52 people so far in connection with the '12·3 Emergency Martial Law Incident.'
A representative from the Special Investigation Unit of the National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters told reporters on the same day, "The current number of suspects charged is 52, with one more each from the ruling party and government officials and the Presidential Security Service."
The Special Investigation Unit representative said regarding the third summons of former Presidential Security Service Chief Park Jong-jun, "He was summoned for additional investigation, and he complied and appeared."
The police are analyzing a mobile phone voluntarily submitted by former Chief Park. The Special Investigation Unit representative explained about the phone password, "Forensics is currently being conducted, and we understand that cooperation has been provided."
Regarding whether Lee Kwang-woo, the head of the Security Headquarters, has appeared before the police, the Special Investigation Unit representative said, "As far as we know, he has not appeared yet," and added, "We have not received any contact regarding the reason for his absence."
