Kakao's IT solution development subsidiary DK Techin announced on the 13th that it has simultaneously obtained four international standard certifications in the field of information security from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

ISO information security certification is the most prestigious international standard certification in the field of information protection, established by ISO and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). DK Techin acquired certifications for ▲Information Security Management System (ISO 27001) ▲Privacy Information Management System (ISO 27701) ▲Cloud Security Management System (ISO 27017) ▲Cloud Privacy Management System (ISO 27018).

ISO 27001 requires passing a total of 93 inspection items including ▲information security policies ▲access control ▲incident response management. ISO 27701 can be obtained by meeting 49 guidelines required by the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR). By acquiring these two certifications, DK Techin has been recognized for its global-level information management capabilities.

ISO 27017 and ISO 27018 are information security certifications that can be obtained by establishing preventive and responsive measures against information asset and personal data leakage in cloud service environments. Various cloud-based services operated by DK Techin now comply with data security guidelines for personal information.

In 2022, DK Techin had already been certified for its information security and personal information protection management system (ISMS-P) for its cloud process management smart platform T-fac by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), verifying its personal information protection capabilities and service safety.

Through these four international standard certifications, DK Techin has established a personal information protection system that meets both domestic and international standards. Based on this, it plans to strengthen its competitiveness in the business-to-business (B2B) market by providing a safe work and living environment.

Hong Yun-pyo, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of DK Techin, said, "This certification is meaningful as it recognizes the process of acknowledging the importance of information security and continuously accumulating security management capabilities," adding, "We will continue to make every effort to protect personal information and provide services that customers can use with confidence."
