Hana Financial Group announced on the 13th that it conducted a 'Seolnal Traditional Rice Cake Sharing Volunteer Activity' on the 11th, the Korean Lunar New Year, to deliver warm care to neighbors in need around us.

The volunteer activity held at the main auditorium of Hana Financial Group's Myeongdong headquarters was attended by Chairman Ham Young-joo and about 100 group executives and employees along with their families, forming the 'Hana Sarang Volunteer Group.'

Despite the cold weather, Chairman Ham Young-joo spent time chatting and exchanging warm words with the employees and their families who gathered early in the morning at the auditorium, sharing heartfelt communication to spread warmth to those in need.

The participating employees and their families made 300 sets of Ojaengi-tteok, a traditional Korean rice cake, with hopes that vulnerable groups in the community would have a bountiful Lunar New Year during the cold winter. The carefully prepared rice cake sets were packed in happiness boxes along with holiday foods such as ox bone soup, rice cake soup rice cakes, instant side dishes, seasonal fruits, and seasoned seaweed.

On that day, Hana Financial Group delivered 300 rice cake sets and 150 happiness boxes made with care to vulnerable groups such as elderly living alone and basic livelihood security recipients through the Jongno Senior Welfare Center located in Ihwa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

Chairman Ham Young-joo said, "To share warm care with neighbors in need around us during Seolnal, group executives and employees united their hearts and sincerity," adding, "Hana Financial Group will continue to practice warm sharing activities for vulnerable groups in need of help throughout the local community."

In addition, Hana Financial Group plans to continue its Lunar New Year volunteer activities supporting vulnerable groups in the community through related companies, such as Hana Card employees volunteering at the Cheongnyangni free meal service and Hana Life employees delivering briquettes to jjokbangchon (small room villages).

Meanwhile, since 2007, Hana Financial Group has regularly conducted volunteer activities during holidays and year-end through the 'Hana Sarang Volunteer Group,' composed of group executives, employees, and their families. The 'Hana Sarang Volunteer Group' carries out various volunteer activities through voluntary participation of employees, sincerely practicing the group’s mission of 'growing together and sharing happiness through finance.'
