Gyeongju Gyori Gimbap Donates 5 Million Won in Scholarships to Gyeongju Scholarship Foundation

Choi Youngsu Delivers Dreams and Hope to Local Talent Through Consistent Donations

Gyorikimbap, a nationally renowned restaurant representing Gyeongju City, Gyeongbuk Province, is receiving praise from the local community for donating funds to nurture local talent.

Gyorikimbap (CEO Choi Young-su), which operates several branches including the main store in Tapdong, Gyeongju, announced on the 10th that it had donated 5 million won in scholarships to the Gyeongju City Scholarship Foundation to foster future leaders and promote educational development in the Gyeongju region on the 9th.

Gyorikimbap is famous as one of the top three kimbap restaurants nationwide and is well known for its signature menu item, “Gyeran Kimbap” (Egg Kimbap).

CEO Choi Young-su has shown deep interest in scholarship projects for students from the local area and has consistently donated a total of 30 million won in scholarships, giving 5 million won annually since 2019.

CEO Choi Young-su stated, “I hope this support will help local students who, despite economic difficulties, do not lose their dreams and hopes and remain dedicated to their studies,” adding, “I will continue to actively participate in fulfilling social responsibilities such as nurturing local talent and helping neighbors.”

Joo Nak-young, mayor of Gyeongju City and chairman of the Gyeongju City Scholarship Foundation, said, “We deeply appreciate Gyorikimbap’s continuous donations and good deeds, and the donated scholarships will be used carefully to support talented individuals who continue their studies despite challenging circumstances.”
