Report Meeting Held on Key Focus Projects
The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cheon Chang-su) is focusing its efforts on promoting future education in Ulsan with a solid foundation through the implementation of four major education policies this year, along with customized support for students in areas such as academic achievement and welfare.
The Ulsan Office of Education held a three-day report meeting on major tasks and key projects for this year at the Jiphyeonsil of the Office of Education on the 7th, 8th, and 10th, sharing the direction of initiatives across departments.
About 90 officials, including Superintendent Cheon Chang-su, the Deputy Superintendent, directors, and department heads, attended the meeting.
The four major policy directions of the Ulsan Office of Education for 2025 are responsible education for future preparation, customized and safe education for students, relationship-centered empathetic education, and open administration supporting the field.
Key focus tasks include “creating a peaceful and warm educational community, establishing meticulous customized public education, cultivating solid future competencies, and building a comprehensive education welfare and safety system.”
Responsible education for future preparation will be realized through strengthening basic academic support, revitalizing reading and humanities education, expanding cultural, arts, and physical education, and supporting career, college admission, and vocational education.
Customized and safe education for students will be promoted by providing integrated student support, creating safe school environments, establishing educational foundations for all, and expanding the operation of Neulbom Schools.
Relationship-centered empathetic education will be practiced through a peaceful and warm educational community, strengthening character education programs, global citizenship education for living together, and supporting students’ emotional and behavioral needs.
Open administration supporting the field will be implemented by enhancing parental participation in schools, creating future education environments, reforming personnel administration systems, and fostering education that grows together with the local community.
The Ulsan Office of Education plans to re-examine the contents discussed at this report meeting and review improvements to focus on key projects by department this year.
Following the main office, on the 9th, a major task plan report meeting was held for education support offices and affiliated institutions. In the morning, it was held at Gangbuk Education Support Office for two education support offices, and in the afternoon, at the Ulsan Education Research and Information Institute for 11 affiliated institutions.
Superintendent Cheon Chang-su stated, “We plan to focus on creating a happy, peaceful, and warm educational community for all members of Ulsan education and on establishing customized public education. We will communicate together to ensure Ulsan education can change and innovate, further strengthening the foundation of future education.”
