Available Twice a Year... Up to 100,000 KRW Per Person
Wando County, Jeonnam announced on the 10th that it will implement the "2025 Youth Certification Exam Fee Support Project" to help young job seekers establish a foundation for self-reliance and improve their employability.
The program is open to unemployed youth aged 19 to 49 who have their address registered in Wando County as of the application date. Anyone who has actually taken a language test (8 types), Korean history exam, or a national certification exam (national technical or national professional certification) after December 1, 2023, is eligible to apply.

Applications can be made up to twice per year, and each individual can receive support for exam fees and textbook costs combined, up to a maximum of 100,000 KRW. Eligible exams include eight language tests (TOEIC, TOEIC Speaking, TOEFL, IELTS, OPIc, TEPS, G-TELP, FLEX), the Korean History Proficiency Test, 493 types of national technical certifications, and 247 types of national professional certifications, totaling 749 types.
Applicants must take the certification exam and then visit the Wando Youth Center "Wansaeng" or apply via email with the required documents between the 1st and 10th of each month (January 8th to 15th). The county will review eligibility and select recipients in the order of application, with exam fee payments scheduled around the 15th of the following month.
Last year, the county supported 56 cases, with the most requested certifications being language tests (TOEIC, G-TELP) at 27 cases, engineer certifications (such as Architecture Engineer, Electrical Industry Engineer) at 10 cases, and Korean history at 8 cases.
